As God’s scripture reminds us in 2 Timothy 1 –  our trustworthy, omnipotent, and loving Father has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.  These and many other promises from the Lord give us an overwhelming boldness and faith as we closely track the recent events globally and even in our city regarding the COVID-19 coronavirus.

There are practical things that you can do as a congregant of Every Nation New York City and as a good citizen to prevent the spread of ALL germs and to protect you and your loved ones

  • Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, including between your fingers and underneath your fingernails.
  • Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer when soap and water is not available.
  • Wash your hands after touching public surfaces, using the bathroom, sneezing and before snacks and meals.
  • Sneeze & cough into a tissue and discard this immediately or use your sleeve if necessary
  • Avoid touching your face and especially your eyes, nose, and mouth in public.
  • Replace handshakes with a warm smile and greeting!
  • Teach your family little ones all of the above as well.
  • Clean and disinfect commonly touched objects and surfaces in your home and workplace especially after entertaining visitors.
  • Stay home if you are sick!
  • Stay informed about the latest developments about the COVID-19 coronavirus from the CDC (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html) or New York City’s Department of Health (https://www1.nyc.gov/site/doh/health/health-topics/coronavirus.page)
  • Additionally, be aware of the CDC’s frequently updated travel advisory list (https://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/notices) and consider this in your travel plans.
  • Reach out to your local physician or pediatrician with any additional questions.

As a church, we are considering a multi-tiered approach towards keeping you and your loved ones safe in our meeting spaces as well.

In closing, please do continue to pray the Lord would shine His full grace on this church, this city, this nation, and the whole world as we count down to the end of COVID-19’s spread.  We stand on His Word of protection that even the winds and waves obey!

Grace and Peace,
