Worship Team Application
Our Next Open Audition Date is:
Sunday, October 17th, 2021
What to Expect
Step 1: Sign up for the Audition
The first step in joining the worship team is to sign up for an audition by filling out the application form above at your earliest convenience. You will receive an audition packet and be invited to join the rehearsals after submitting this form.
Step 2: Prepare for the Audition
Once your application has been submitted you will receive the materials needed to prepare for your audition.
Each instrumentalist/vocalist will be expected to play/sing 2 songs from a song list that will be provided.
Prepare Yourself. Take the time to fully prepare yourself – spiritually, physically, mentally, and musically. Practice and ask questions if you have them.
Step 3: Attend the Audition
Open Auditions are group auditions that have a set date.
Private auditions are available only when an open audition is not scheduled.
For Open auditions, after completing the online sign up form, you’ll hear from the Worship Coordinator ([email protected]) to receive your scheduled time slot. If there are no Open Auditions coming up, then email the Worship Coordinator to set up a private audition when you have learned the materials. At either type of audition you will play/sing your 2 prepared songs from “Step 2.”
Step 4: Follow up
The results of the audition will be emailed to each person individually. No one else will receive your results.
Here are four example options of results statements:
- You will be asked to join the team with an existing spot in mind for you.
- You will be asked to join the team with a new developing spot in mind for you.
- We believe you have what it takes and with some more practice you will be ready to join the team. We would like you to consider a future audition, but we would not offer you a spot at this time.
- We appreciate your hard work and willingness to serve, however, we would not offer you a spot at this time.
If invited to join the team, please make sure that if you are exiting other ministries at our church, that the team leader knows and your role has been replaced and/or fulfilled.
